Signal may encrypt the message content, but that does not mean the traffic becomes invisible. In this article, I examine what Wireshark can still reveal about Signal communications, including DNS activity, TLS sessions, TCP and UDP flows, packet timing, traffic volume, call behavior, and endpoint relationships. It is a practical look at how packet analysis changes when application payloads are encrypted—and why Wireshark remains extremely valuable even when you cannot see the conversation itself.
