Hi everyone,

I run a small studio with three separate rooms, and I'm trying to let guests play music in each room from their own phone.

My setup

• 3 Echo Dots, one per room
• All connected to the same Amazon/Alexa account and the same Wi-Fi network
• Each Echo Dot is paired via Bluetooth to a separate external speaker in its room

What I want to achieve

1. Guest opens Spotify → taps "Connect to a device"
2. Sees the three Echo Dots → selects one
3. Spotify plays through that Echo Dot → audio comes out of the Bluetooth speaker in that room

The problem

This works perfectly from my own iPhone: I can see all three Echo Dots in Spotify Connect and connect to any of them.

But when another person connects their iPhone to the same Wi-Fi, sometimes they can't see any of the Echo Dots in Spotify Connect.

What I've already tried

• Making sure both phones are on the exact same Wi-Fi network
• Enabling Local Network access for Spotify on iPhone
• Restarting Spotify
• Restarting the iPhone
• Restarting the Echo Dots
• Resetting/reconfiguring the Echo Dots
• Checking Spotify settings related to local device visibility

The strange part: my phone sees the Echo Dots, another phone on the same Wi-Fi doesn't.

I also found that saying "Alexa, Spotify Connect" might make an Echo discoverable to other Spotify users, but I'm not sure if that's still the correct/current solution.

My questions

1. Is there a way to make Echo Dots permanently discoverable via Spotify Connect to any Spotify Premium user on the same Wi-Fi, without them using my Amazon/Spotify account?
2. Is there a specific Alexa setting that controls whether an Echo is visible to other Spotify accounts?
3. Could this be caused by router/network configuration, e.g. AP isolation, client isolation, multicast, mDNS, or IGMP?
4. Is there a better way to configure three Echo Dots in three separate rooms for this use case?
5. Is there an equivalent solution for Apple Music, YouTube Music, or other services, where a guest uses their own account, picks an Echo Dot, and audio plays through its Bluetooth speaker?

Goal

Let guests/customers choose the room and control the music from their own phone, without giving them access to my Alexa or Amazon account.

Any advice from someone who has set up something similar would be greatly appreciated!
