Tailscale and Jellyfin not working on phone apps

I promise this subreddit was my last resort lol. I know this is a common help request, but I am not tech savvy and have poured over most everything here in regards to this topic. I have tried the top hits for this subject and I am at a loss on what to try next.

Things I have tried:

1. Allowing remote access and whitelisting the tailscale IP address

2. Using the tailnet MagicDNS instead of tailscale IP before the host number

3. Turning off firewall on server

4. Trying sudo ufw allow 8096

5. Tried Findroid instead of the jellyfin app client

Tailscale is connected to both server and phone. If anyone has any advice on where to go from here I would appreciate it as I really don't want to even try to ask any type of AI for help troubleshooting.
