This video was talking about MS Edge begging people to switch to Bing. That's a problem. But they preface it with the same MV2 fud everyone has been spreading for ages and even I fell for it initially. And I get it. Its easy to read a headline and immediately think all is doom. I'm not innocent of that. But I am so over this MV3 vs MV2 debate. Can we please stop trying to make security conscious individuals who recognize the security benefits of the MV3 framework (albeit imperfect, it doesn't completely stop here extension based malware attacks) feel like shit that they're not dealing with a worse, more memory leak prone option (Firefox)? I get its hard to trust corps, I struggle to myself, it took me months of testing to come to the conclusion that I ultimately prefer uBO Lite + DNS filtering over full uBO. It uses less resources and is more secure. But whatever, y'all can keep believing FUD and making us feel bad for not bandwagoning. I I regret falling for it in the past so I'm really tired of the narrative continuing to spread. Jesus. They made a video about a real issue and prefaced it with browser war FUD.
