I have two questions I'm hoping you guys may have answers to.
I want to use Proton's DNS server while using a VPN WireGuard connection and default to another DNS server if not. On my previous Asus RT-AX88U router running stock firmware, I was able to do this by going to WAN -> WAN DNS Setting and setting the DNS server to Proton's DNS Server and another server's IP. With my current Asus RT-BE88U router running Asuswrt-Merlin, it seems to be using both DNS servers while using a VPN connection. I know AsusWRT-Merlin has an option for this using OpenVPN but does anyone know of a workaround for WireGuard connections?
My second question is I've noticed much slower upload speeds from time to time while a WireGuard connection is on. Oddly enough, I won't see the drop if I test my speed on one site but if I go to speedtest dot net, the upload speed will drop and then other sites will also report slow upload speeds. Would any of you have any insight as to why this is happening and a fix?
