I just wanted to change the email address for communication with gfiber. Nope. "You must contact customer service." Ok, fine. Chat window…10min later: You must either wait for auto pay to complete in a week, or manually pay in full now before I can change your email address. FINE!! I just paid, now change it…. Nope! EIGHT confirmations required on both sides (so you still have to have access to the old email address!!) and… Now you get to configure your NEW GF(!@#$you)iber account. FML. I was going to have to put in all my payment info all over again, address, phone numbers, etc. etc. UTTERLY ABSURD!!! I asked the Chat person to just cancel the whole thing and leave my account as it was. She said, "Okay," and then my whole Internet went down! WTF? 10 min later it came back up…with a NEW IP address! Now I have to go change 30 DNS records, and reconnect all my things. What a gargantuan pile of UTTER IDIOCY!!
TL: DR: do NOT even ask to change your data once you have a working gfiber account.
