First, I want to apologize for the issues with the previous update. I know some of you experienced problems with servers, buffering, extensions, and other parts of the app.

Thank you to everyone who reported these issues and stayed patient while they were being worked on. Your bug reports and feedback have been really helpful in improving AniWings.

With that said, AniWings Mobile v1.2.1 and Android TV v1.2.3 are now available!

A lot has been reworked in this release — including the UI, servers, extensions, profiles, metadata providers, support options, and Android TV login.

What’s been added recently:

📱 Android Mobile v1.2.1

• Completely Reworked UI: The interface has been redesigned with several layout and visual improvements throughout the app.
• Server & Buffering Fixes: Several server-related problems have been fixed, along with improvements aimed at reducing buffering during playback.
• 2 More Servers: Two additional server options have been added, giving you more playback choices.
• Extensions Fixed: The extension system has been reworked and should now be available for everyone to use properly.
• Profile Customization: More options have been added for customizing your AniWings profile.
• Support Page: A dedicated Support page has been added for anyone who would like to help with the ongoing maintenance of AniWings. You can optionally watch an ad to provide a small amount of support. This is completely voluntary and is never required to use AniWings or any of its features. Simply using the app, reporting bugs, and sharing feedback already helps a lot.
• Help Page: A new in-app Help section provides guidance and information about AniWings and its features.
• Email Support: Email support is now available if you need help or want to report an issue.
• More Metadata Providers: Kitsu and AniDB have been added alongside MyAnimeList and AniList.
• Provider Customization: You now have more control over which metadata providers you want to use.
• More Open & Customizable: AniWings is moving toward a more open and user-controlled approach, especially through extensions and provider customization.
• Bug Fixes & Optimization: Various bugs have been fixed alongside additional performance and stability improvements.

📺 Android TV v1.2.3

• Improved TV UI: The Android TV interface has been further optimized with several design and usability improvements.
• QR Code Login: You can now log in to Android TV through the AniWings mobile app by scanning a QR code, making the login process much easier without having to type everything using a remote.
• Fire TV & NVIDIA SHIELD Support: Compatibility and optimization for these devices have been further improved.
• HDR Improvements: HDR support has been improved, including fixes for color-correction issues on compatible TVs and content.
• Server Fixes: Server-related issues have been addressed for more reliable playback.
• Better Optimization: Navigation, performance, and overall stability have been improved for Android TV.
• Bug Fixes: Several smaller issues reported in the previous TV version have also been fixed.

⚠️ Important Installation Note

Because this release includes major internal changes, please uninstall/delete your existing AniWings app before installing the new version.

Installing this version directly over an older AniWings installation may cause compatibility problems or prevent some of the new features from working correctly.

For the best experience:

Uninstall the old AniWings version → Download the latest version → Install it as a fresh installation.

This applies to both Mobile v1.2.1 and Android TV v1.2.3.
