- EFI bootloader loads the kernel ELF from the FAT image and jumps into the kernel.
- GOP framebuffer is initialized and used as the display backend.
- Framebuffer memory is available to the kernel for drawing pixels and text.
- Terminal output works on the framebuffer.
- Screen clearing, glyph rendering, and string printing are implemented.
- UI scaffolding was created under the TTY UI layer for font, renderer, and window code.
- GDT setup is in place for kernel and user code/data segments.
- IDT setup exists for the CPU exception vectors 0–31.
- ISR stubs are implemented for all CPU exception vectors.
- The exception handler receives the correct interrupt number and prints the corresponding exception name.
- The no-error exception stub and error stub preserve registers and return correctly with
iretq. - IDT gates for vectors 32–47 are installed.
- IDT gates for vectors 48–255 are also installed with a default handler.
- APIC detection through CPUID is implemented.
- Local APIC is enabled through the IA32 APIC base MSR.
- Legacy PIC is masked.
- Local APIC timer setup exists for vector 32.
- APIC EOI support was added.
- A 64-bit IDT pointer loading fix was applied.
- The kernel clean build succeeds.
- The EFI image build succeeds.
- The whole project can be launched via the project root script.
