It looks like the long-awaited WiFi Uplink / WiFi-as-WAN feature may finally be available on UniFi all-in-one devices with built-in WiFi, such as the UX7 and UDR7.
I can already see the option on my UDR, but I can’t actually configure it because the existing WAN interface can’t be unassigned.
Before I buy a UX7 or UDR7 specifically for this, could someone with one of those devices test it? You should be able to find this with the latest public release under:
Settings – Internet – Any WAN – WiFi Uplink
If anyone can confirm whether this works on a recent UniFi OS / Network version, that would be really helpful. A screenshot of a working WiFi uplink setup or even some performance test would be very much appreciated.
