Hey everyone,
I just got my Beryl AX last week and have been happy with it, but today I discovered a very strange bug.
Whenever I disconnect my LAN device, the entire router loses internet connectivity.
However:
- The Admin Panel still reports the WAN interface as UP with a message "The interface is connected but internet can't be accessed".
- As soon as I plug the LAN device in, the internet instantly comes back.
To isolate the issue, I disabled everything:
- All applications.
- All VPNs.
Even with all of those off, unplugging the LAN still took down the internet. The only system log events generated were:
kern.info kernel: mtk_soc_eth 15100000.ethernet eth1: Link is Down kern.info kernel: br-lan: port 1(eth1) entered disabled state daemon.notice netifd: Network device 'eth1' link is down
I do had a VPN policy configured previously that was set to exclude this specific LAN device from the tunnel. The only solution I found was completeely delete that tunnel and reboot. The firmware is 4.11.0 btw.
Is this an expected behaviour or maybe a bug?
Thank you in advance!
