Hi everyone,
I'm setting up a small personal AI server on my Ubuntu laptop. I installed Docker Engine and Docker Compose, and everything seems to be working fine so far.
However, I can't seem to pull any images from Docker Hub.
For example, running:
sudo docker run hello-world
gives me this error:
failed to resolve reference "docker.io/library/hello-world:latest":
dial tcp 173.208.182.68:443: i/o timeout
I've tried a few things to figure out what's going on:
– DNS resolution works for Docker Hub domains.
– Baidu and GitHub are accessible over HTTPS.
– "registry-1.docker.io", "auth.docker.io" and "hub.docker.com" all time out.
– IPv6 doesn't seem to be available on my network.
– I don't have any proxy environment variables configured.
– I've tried both my regular Wi-Fi and my phone's hotspot, but the problem remains the same.
– Docker itself is running normally.
I'm not sure if this is an Ubuntu networking issue, something related to my ISP, or a problem with how my network reaches Docker Hub.
Has anyone run into something similar? I'd appreciate any suggestions on what I should check next.
Thanks!
