In a follow-up to this Reddit thread, pasted below, Ubiquiti has now gone MIA from any support emails and responses to this situation. Clearly, Unifi has ghosted me; be forewarned about buying any of their products going forward, as if this can happen to me, it can happen to you!

Since my last email was received from them 24 hours ago, I have been emailing them consistently with updates on the UDMP and its memory leaks that have topped out at 91 percent so far.
TLDR: I did everything support asked, logged the console every hour for two days, and memory still climbed to 91%. Support has gone silent.
What happened so far:
Over the past few weeks, my UDM Pro kept running out of memory. It hit high usage, got sluggish, dropped my cameras, and on Oct 19 alone I had to reboot it twice. I opened a ticket. Ubiquiti told me the third-party ControlD DNS proxy (ctrld) was the memory hog and asked me to remove it, reboot, and send them 48 hours of monitoring.
So on Oct 20 at 7:19 AM I uninstalled ctrld and rebooted. I’ve been taking a reading every hour since then: uptime, memory, CPU, and load averages.
What the numbers show:
Before removing ctrld, memory started around 75% after a reboot and rose about 1 to 1.5 points per hour, reaching the high 80s within about 8 hours.
After removing ctrld, it barely changed. The console came back up at 70% and climbed at roughly the same 1.5 points per hour for the first nine hours, to 83%. Overnight it kept going and peaked at 90.6% at 3:43 AM on Oct 21. Since then it has stayed between 83% and 91% and hasn’t recovered. As of this evening, with 31 hours of uptime, it’s sitting at 87%. Keep in mind that there was not much traffic during the day, and the evening hours is when traffic increases.
CPU and load have stayed fine the whole time (15-minute load around 2.5 to 4, CPU mostly 15 to 50%). This isn’t the box being overworked. Memory just fills up and doesn’t come back down.
So removing ctrld didn’t fix it. At most, it slowed the climb a little. Something in UniFi OS itself is using that memory. UniFi has ghosted me on support. No longer responsive, no outcome to how they will fix this, and certainly refusing to correct the issue or even provide a separate NVR or upgrade path that would correct this issue.
I followed their instructions to the letter and kept a timestamped log they can check line by line, thanks to API and Claude just logging everything I asked it to. Since then, I’ve heard nothing. No follow-up, no next steps, no acknowledgment. Blaming a third-party package and then going quiet when removing it didn’t help is pretty frustrating, especially on a console that runs my whole network.
Has anyone else seen a UDM Pro sit at 85 to 90% memory with nothing third-party installed? And has anyone found a way to get a ticket escalated when support stops replying? I’m happy to share the full hourly log if it helps anyone. I work in media and am strongly considering reaching out to a few producers at some pretty large news organizations about how this company ghosts its customers and has provided an inadequate product.
