So recently I encountered this damn issue with my game. I launched it and saw that there was a in game update of around 1.40GB in size. When it starts downloading, it only downloads about 50MB out of the 1.40GB, the I get the error updating data message. It happens on the Epic Games version as well as the version I downloaded directly from the website.
I have tried EVERYTHING I can think of including changing my device name, using a VPN, deleting config files, reinstalling the game, flushed the DNS and I even made a new admin user on my PC, but to no avail. This has been happening for a little more than a month now. The clients does, however, download updates, but still the error remains.
Is anyone else also experiencing the same issue and if you found a fix please share.
Oh I also contacted their customer support, but they just gave me the same "fixes" that did absolutely nothing at all.
I am playing from Namibia, don't know if the location makes a difference. And one last thing, on my phone it plays perfectly, no issues at all.
