Most jobs you see on LinkedIn or Indeed also live on the company's own job board, and almost all of those boards run on a handful of systems. Once you know what their URLs look like, you can go straight to the source.
| System | What the job board URL looks like |
|---|---|
| Greenhouse | job-boards.greenhouse.io/companyname |
| Ashby | jobs.ashbyhq.com/companyname |
| Workday | companyname.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/… (the number after "wd" varies) |
| Lever | jobs.lever.co/companyname |
| SmartRecruiters | jobs.smartrecruiters.com/CompanyName |
| iCIMS | careers-companyname.icims.com |
| BambooHR | companyname.bamboohr.com/careers |
Among the 5,000+ companies we monitor, Greenhouse, Ashby and Workday alone cover about three quarters.
Finding one company's board
- Click Apply on a LinkedIn or Indeed listing. If it sends you off-site, the page you land on is usually the company's board. Go up one level in the URL to see every open role.
- On the company's website, go to Careers and click through to the list of open roles. The marketing page is often separate; the list itself usually sits on one of the domains above.
- Or just try the pattern: jobs.lever.co/companyname, jobs.ashbyhq.com/companyname, and so on.
Searching across companies
You can search one system's boards across every company that uses it. In Google:
site:jobs.lever.co "data analyst"
site:jobs.ashbyhq.com "product manager" remote
site:myworkdayjobs.com "financial analyst" Chicago
Swap in your title and city. Each search covers a different set of companies, so it's worth running the same query on two or three systems.
Keeping track
Bookmark the board with your filters applied. Many Workday sites also let you sign in and set up email alerts for that company.
