Anadius repack of sims 3 keeps getting errors when launching

Hi, I have the anadius repack of the sims 3, which I got from the official site when it was still around, and I use a Dell G5515 gaming laptop to play the game (never had any significant issues). I haven't played the sims 3 since around the 20th of July this year. A month ago, I decided I want to play it again. After clicking trying to turn the launcher on, I got an error code 'Server initialization failed: 0x0175dcbb'.

I didn't touch the game at all nor its files between the last time I actually played, and discovering the error a month ago, but I'm not sure if something else that I changed on my laptop might've done something (I cannot recall anything that I changed, except for adding a DNS server but then removing it)

I should've asked here or a similar subreddit first, however I didn't think of that and instead asked chatgpt.. I didn't change any files, it just asked me to send certain things that might be causing the problem – like the expansion packs showing the wrong location in the registry – and I also removed my mods folder but to no avail.

What I'm afraid of is not that I'll potentially have to reinstall the game, but the fact that some of the files might not be compatible with other cracked versions of the sims 3?? I'm not sure if this is true, but I assume that things like clothing and build items which are originally from the shop might not work. I have a large mansion with a multi-generational family that I've had for almost 3 years now, which I don't want to lose/have problems with upon reinstalling.

Please share any tips, or let me know if I can safely just reinstall the game. I have searched quite a bit about my error, but I've found nothing really helpful (plus there wasn't any help for the pirated version of the game)

EDIT: No need to reply! I just realised that when I plugged in a new cd/dvd drive to my laptop, it automatically took the D: spot, and changed my hard drive with sims 3 to E:, meaning that the game couldn't find the files as they were under the E: drive now. I changed it back using the disk management app and its working now. Hopefully this can help others with the same problem.
