Today the portfolio guidance and deadlines for ST1 posts have been released, including Radiology ST1
Changes:
In the audit domain they will now accept an audit and re-audit as two separate audits, meaning that if you do a closed-loop audit demonstrating change (and related to radiology) that qualifies for the top grade.
In addition they are now also considering audits which demonstrate adherence to standard, no change indicated. No need to shop around for any deficient practices.
They have added a well-needed classification of papers that people stick their name on and it's like a million authors. Now these papers are termed "consortium" if there are more than 12 authors. Being anything but a first author counts as just 1 point. There's also some added clarification on joint authorship, which now requires it to be clarified on the article itself.
Otherwise the interview portfolio station and clinical stations remain as last year.
Point calculation is 30% portfolio and 70% interview.
Applications open October 22 10:00 and close on November 19 16:00. MSRA window is 5 – 20 Jan and interview window is 11-17 March.
As with the changes in the medical prioritisation bill only the prioritised groups will really be considered for interview and posts, which should hopefully help the MSRA threshold. The CREST form has also been updated to "better reflect F2 competencies".
Good luck everyone!
