Hi,
Remember Apple’s Network Utility? Having ping, traceroute, whois, and port scan in a single GUI window was great before Apple removed it in Monterey. Passing flags to terminal commands every time isn't as convenient.
Put together a native app to bring that back, plus a few things Network Utility never had:
- All standard tools: Ping, Traceroute, DNS Lookup, Whois, Port Scan (TCP + UDP), SSL Check, Subnet Calculator
- 1-click diagnostic: Quick check if connection issues are on your Wi-Fi or your ISP end.
- Menu Bar item: public IP, country, and VPN status.
Basic tools are free.
Pro features:
- LAN Scanner – scans your network for active devices (name, type, vendor). Shows MAC addresses where available (since macOS blocks direct ARP table access now). Optional alerts when new devices join.
- MTR – continuous traceroute. Tracks packet loss per hop over time with an exportable heatmap. With history.
- Uptime Monitor – background checks for your hosts/sites with downtime notifications.
- Wi-Fi Analyzer – signal, noise, and channel usage to help you find a less crowded channel.
- Speed Test History – log speed over time and scheduled tests.
- iPerf3 – native client for testing LAN/Wi-Fi throughput against a local server, no Homebrew needed.
Price: $9.99 one-time. Use code/this link NETWORK20 for 20% off until the end of September.
