This started about 3 weeks ago after the mid season patch and I have tried everything under the sun to fix it. Overwatch launches but regardless of my internet connection fails to connect to server.
I have tried:
– A fresh install of both battlenet and Overwatch itself
– Scanning and repairing (Which results in an update, initialisation for 1 second and then a statement that it is "reclaiming space", then nothing)
– Flushign the DNS via cmd as admin, Winsoc and IP resets, along with ipconfig changes
– Running battlenet as admin
– Swapping internet
– Registering my M.A.C address as a trusted user on my browser
– Contacting Blizzard for support at which point they said my account was fine
– Running through google's servers for IP (8.8.8.8)
– Region Swapping
– Power resets
– Check for update
– Clearing cache, app data, local date and more
There was a brief period where I was finally able to play after the mid season. The pre-release update downloaded for Doctrine and I am now back to square one. I believe it to be an issue with server de-sync, that battlenet believes my game up to date but obviously it isnt and thus it wont let me join servers as it is technically running the wrong code but I dont know anymore if Im honest.
If anybody knows literally anything I need help, this game is my social sphere with my friends and I'm so annoyed I can't play with them. Thanks 🙂
