Looking to move away from my isp router to create my own router with a separate switch and access point, so that I can call myself a real IT professional and for extra security purposes.
Currently, I been using OPNsense in my Proxmox homelab, creating VLANS, setting up firewall rules, DNS servers, DHCP servers/reservations.
What is your experience using OPNsense as your router?
What kind of hiccups did you encounter during the setup?
How different would it be from my current setup?
