Is anyone else experiencing Fortnite crashing on PC, or any other platform? A while ago I saw a couple of people saying they had crashes too, but nothing lately.
Ever since around the update when they added the Loot Hack Sprites Fortnite has been crashing a lot for me. But it seems to come and go in waves. I'll have a day or 2 with no crashes but then it will crash at least 10 times in a day.
I've used DDU and tried multiple Nvidia drivers, uninstalled Windows updates, cleared the FN cache, verified files, uninstalled, and reinstalled FN, changed DNS servers, etc. I also enabled Use GPU crash debugging in FN settings. But I don't think any FN developers are going to contact me. LOL!
I've also been seeing crazy ping info. I'm NAE but set to auto, so I usually connect to NAE servers but sometimes they reroute me to NAC servers. And lately it will say I have 0 ping when I should never have 0 ping. It's always between 20 and 60 depending on which server they route me to.
Anyway, I'm trying to figure out if this is a hardware error with my PC, a network/routing error, or an error on FN's end. And I'm not having any other issues with my PC.
It seems like I get this error in event viewer every time it crashes, and I've tried all the recommended solutions on the internet, but nothing seems to help…
The description for Event ID 153 from source nvlddmkm cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.
If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.

The message resource is present but the message was not found in the message table
Again, I've used DDU to completely uninstall and reinstall various versions of the Nvidia drivers. I've also chosen "clean installation" too. And I know there are Nvidia settings inside of FN, Reflex, etc. So, I'm wondering if it can't find the description for the event since it may be on FN's end, but I don't know.
