I have a VALORANT account that is registered on the Saudi/EU shard, and my friend is also in Saudi Arabia and plays on a Saudi account.
I’m currently in India, but I want to keep using my Saudi account so I can play with my friend.
The problem is that my server pings are extremely high from India:
Mumbai: ~270 ms
Riyadh: ~230 ms
Tokyo: ~130 ms
I’m physically in India, so I expected Mumbai to be low ping, but apparently my account’s shard/routing is causing the traffic to take a much longer route.
I’ve tried Cloudflare WARP (Traffic + DNS), but I’m still testing the results.
My question: Is there a way to keep my Saudi/EU account and play with my Saudi friend while I’m in India, but get reasonable ping to the servers?
I’d prefer not to change the account’s region/shard, since I want to continue using this account with my Saudi friend.
Would something like WARP, ExitLag, Mudfish, or another routing solution work? Or is the high ping unavoidable because the account is on the Saudi/EU shard?
Any advice from someone who has dealt with this situation would be appreciated.
