Just thought I would flag a potential bug.
Am on legacy/free workspace. Today I noticed some emails not arriving – email from same sender might arrive, might not. Email logs in admin just showed the successful ones and not the fails.
Spent ages trying to diagnose – and in the end was just browsing admin for any clues when in the domains I noticed the one affected said it needed attention.
I was using the .goog mx records for DNS Sec and they had been working for months if not years. The admin domain section was flagging that I still needed to change to Google MX records, and as soon as I changed them to the aspmx.l.google.com ones, from the .goog ones, everything started flowing – all the test ones etc etc.
I’m not sure if Google have dropped support for .goog on legacy accounts or if I am being a donut about something, but just thought I’d flag here – if you have intermittent delivery issues, change back to standard MX records and all will be well. I don’t think DNS Sec will be affected as everything still showing healthy with a dnssec grep.
