Where domain hunters compare notes

The five details that turn a hosting problem into a solvable one

“My website is down” tells us what you can see — but not yet what caused it. A useful support request gives the people helping you enough evidence to reproduce, isolate and solve the issue quickly.

Before you post, include these five details:

  1. What changed just before the issue began — an update, migration, DNS edit or deployment?

  2. The exact error message or HTTP status code.

  3. Whether the issue affects everyone, one location, or one device.

  4. What you have already tried, including cache clears or restarts.

  5. A safe timeline: when it started and whether it is intermittent.

Please remove passwords, API keys, server IPs and other private credentials. Screenshots are useful, but redact sensitive data first.

What is the one detail you wish every technical support request included?
