- Open Settings > Network & Internet > Wifi (or Ethernet)
- Click your active connection then Edit next to "DNS server assignment"
- Change from Automatic (DHCP) to Manual
- Toggle IPv4 on
- Using Quad9 DNS, enter:
– Preferred: 9.9.9.9
– Alternate: 149.112.112.112
- Click Save, then run
ipconfig /flushdnsin CMD or Command Propt

- System Settings > Network > select your active connection > Details
- Go to the DNS tab
- Click "+" and add
9.9.9.9then149.112.112.112 - Remove old entries if present
- Flush cache in Terminal:
sudo dscacheutil -flushcache; sudo killall -HUP mDNSResponder

Android (generalized, depends on brand)
- Settings > Network & Internet > Internet > tap the gear icon next to the Wifi network
- Scroll to Private DNS
- Select Private DNS provider hostname
- Enter
dns.quad9.net - Save

iOS/iPadOS
- Settings > Wifi > tap the ⓘ icon next to your network
- Scroll to Configure DNS > select Manual
- Delete existing servers if there are any, add
9.9.9.9and149.112.112.112 - Save
- This only cover Wifi only, if you want to fix mobile data too, try the free Cloudflare 1.1.1.1 app from App Store

Router level (most efficient option, varies per brand, check your manual)
- Log into router admin panel, usually
192.168.100.1,192.168.1.1or192.168.0.1 - Find "DNS Settings" or similar, often under WAN or Internet settings
- Switch from ISP assigned to manual, enter
9.9.9.9as Primary and149.112.112.112as Secondary
