Wanting to learn and build experience:
I am brand new to the homelab space and been wanting to start my own for some time and wanted to see what tips and things to start with! I don't want to spend a lot of money and would like to keep it quite small for now! I have heard from multiple people online that homelabbing is a great way to build experience that can go on my resume as I want to pursue a career in the IT world. I know that is a MASSIVE genre but I would like to just start building experience and see what interests me most!
What I have currently:
I am learning some languages like C++ and Python currently and want to learn more! Currently, I have a seperate old PC with ubuntu, docker, and AMP for a gaming server host (mainly for minecraft). I also have a pihole set up on a rasberry pi as my dns server! Would love your ideas and for those working in IT, what would be most beneficial for me to build up experience in with my homelab! Thanks!
