Free food!

We recently bought a house "as is" that was formerly owned by an elderly Mormon couple. Apparently, their community requires them to stockpile food and water in the event of….I don't know…Terminator? Zombie apocalypse? Alien invasion? Anyway, there are shelves full of food in the basement. Prepared stuff like canned soup, but also stuff like bags of sugar and flour, boxed cereal, etc.

Much of this stuff is past its "sell by" date by at least a couple years, but I don't think that means it's inedible. However, I'm told that food banks and similar charitable orgs won't take it. I'll throw it all in the dumpster we've got coming for the rest of the house trash if I must, but it seems like a huge waste, especially with the price of groceries these days.

If anything in these pics looks like something you'd want, hit me up. You're welcome to show up and take what you want. Or alternatively, if you have an idea for another way to get rid of this stuff that doesn't involve a lot of headache on my part, I'd like to hear it.
