Like a lot of developers, I got fed up watching traditional hosting giants (Hostinger, IONOS, etc.) slash support quality, route every ticket through useless AI loops, and trap users with hidden renewal pricing.
Instead of just complaining about it, I built Hovixa to do it differently.
The Tech Stack & Architecture:
- Built on reliable shared, VPS, and WordPress configurations optimized for real performance.
- Automated provisioning and billing pipelines to keep overhead low.
- Focused heavily on clean DNS decoupling, letting users manage their nameservers where they want without breaking mail/web routing.
The Hardest Lesson: Fraud prevention and billing automation are 80% of the battle when running a hosting company. Writing custom API hooks to handle lead pipelines, automated provisioning, and keeping resource allocation isolated took way more iteration than building the front-end dashboard.
I’d love feedback from anyone else scaling infrastructure products or dealing with automated abuse/fraud detection in micro-SaaS. If anyone here wants to migrate away from an oversold corporate host, I'm happy to give a 15% discount (newcomer2026).
