I currently host with a large hosting company with starts with "Host" and ends with "inger", it cost me about $100 for 4 years of service, and I have about 2.5 years left. I get about 30 GB of storage, and unlimited domains.
I've recently had to use their customer support because some DNS suddenly started failing, and after 4 days of either clearly AI generated responses from what they said were humans, or one single response to a ticket that was created looking at completely the wrong issues and resolving the ticket right away, it's clear I need to find something else.
I have about 7 domains running off the account, and mostly just have email running on them. I use IMAP since gmail stopped supporting POP3, so I need a reasonable amount of storage for these accounts. I have one domain redirecting to my linkedIN profile, and a few DNS entries pointing subdomains to places like Vercel or email sending services like SMTP2GP. So there really isn't even much actual web hosting happening, I really just need email, web forwarding, and DNS management.
I would like to keep the cost as low as possible. I expect given the state of storage costs the ~$3 a month is going to be a difficult ask, but ideally as close as I can.
Users would be in the UK or EU, but I doubt that matters much given my use case.
Anyway, I just need some recommendations on what to do. I can't stay with a provider who cannot resolve simple issues when they arrise.
Thanks in advance.

The specific questions in case I haven't explitictly said above:
What is your monthly budget? – As close to $3-$5 a month
Where are you/your users located? – UK or EU, but I dount it matters
What kind of site are you hosting (WordPress, phpBB, custom software, etc) or what is your use case? – None currently, I just have a web forwarder on 1 domains, and A records to other suppliers.
Do you have a monthly traffic volume? Estimates are ok. – Virtually nothing. I have a few mailboxes which are probably about 15GB at the moment.
