The tech installed it this way, Thee distance is about 15 feet. Is this acceptable or should I upgrade the cable? I really don't mind spending the money for some high quality CAT6/7/8 cables.
I've seen some older posts about this saying even though CAT5e is only rated for 1Gbps it can actually handle more for really short distances.
But I can't help but feel like if I'm going overboard on the Internet plan, I might as well have CAT8 everywhere. Thoughts?
Side note: I've been getting DNS Probe errors, even after switching my DNS server to 1.1.1.1. any help?
