My Tarot deck made with actual scenes from OTGW (part 2)

Part two of my OTGW Tarot cards. Btw, I have another version with the names in spanish if you want it.

11. THE WHEEL OF FORTUNE
The Wheel of Fortune is an old allegory for the unstable nature of chance, luck and power. Now rising you to the top, now letting you fall to the bottom, pulling us in one way or another incapable of saying anything or fighting back. Version one is a reference to Wirt's perspective of his life, like a boat floating without control in a winding river. Versions two and three play with the visual aspect of the wheel.

12. JUSTICE
Another favorite. The cardinal virtue of reason, clear judgment and truth. Virtue of the just choices in our darker moments. I selected the scene when Wirt is confronted with the Beast's offer to continue the curse of the dark lantern. Although at first it seems there is no other option and he is on the verge of giving in to temptation., Wirt manages to see through his lies and reason out the truth, bringing justice to the doomed souls of the Unknown by extinguishing the fire.

13. DEATH
The card that actually inspired me to do this whole thing. Death, end of all things, the one way journey. Hands up the best one. I mean, just read the lyrics for the Black Train:

There's an old black train a-comin'
Scraping 'long the iron
You don't need no ticket, boys
It'll take you when it's time

Come on now, young strangers
Weren't you someone's son?
How'd you find this depot
'cause it ain't where you belong

You will pass a graveyard
Stones worn by the years
The train'll stop a minute
But don't let it leave you here

The coachman is my brother
The engineer's my friend
They'll get you more acquainted
By the time you reach the end

This journey is a long one
It'll take you all around
Life rushing by your window
Before it lays you down

Now, where this old train's going
You can't come back from
Leave your baggage here
Because we'll need it when you're gone

14. THE TRAITOR
The Italian tradition makes it clear, this is a card of treason and punishment, infamy, counterpart of the Chariot. Also known as The Hanged Man, being hanged was a public humiliation reserved for traitors and thieves, a wink to Judas Iscariot. A vulnerable Beatrice leaves the house, her lies exposed, alone. Abandoned for her actions.

15. TEMPERANCE
This one was painfully obvious. Cardinal virtue of balance and moderation. Originally this card pictured a woman mixing wine with water. Pure wine would be too strong, pure water would have no effect, only when pleasure is tempered it can be safely enjoyed. Only school life would be soulless, like bland mash potatoes. Only molasses would be too sweet, like boys playing all day without responsibility. Together, potatoes and molasses, like school and fun, make the right combination. (And the kitty girl looks almost exactly like Temperance herself holding the jug!)

16. THE DEVIL
You knew this one was coming. The Beast. The original concept art drew inspiration directly from the folkloric Devil, to the point where its name was going to be Old Scratch, one of his nicknames. What else do we have to known? Twisted creature who likes playing riddles in the forest, offering pacts to the desperate souls unfortunate enough to meet him. Horns and everything. Why is he the Devil and not Death despite being "the death of hope"? Because there's no real dilemma. The Black Train and the Beast are explicitly allegories for death and the devil.

17. THE TOWER
Also known as The Lighting. Counterpart of the Star, this card represents exogenous destruction, violence, the fate of Babel's Tower, a fatal omen. First version takes the dramatic visual impact of the card. The second version, Sara finding Wirt's cringe cassette, the conceptual aspect of doom, like a lighting falling down from the sky.

18. THE STAR
Counterpart of the Tower. Related with Bethlehem's Star, this card represents the presence of the divine down on earth. A blessing, guide of sailors, a lighthouse of hope. And what better illustration than the actual star shinning through Greg's dream while he shivers covered in snow.

19. THE MOON
The perpetual half moon over the Unknown. Counterpart of the Sun. Card of mystery, the cycles of nature, the wilderness, the oldest and most ancestral magic. Reign of dreams and nightmares, fantasy and monsters. Quite honestly, the Unknown itself could fit under the domains of the Moon. Related to Diana, goddess of all wild creatures and hunt.

20. THE SUN
The impressive dawn as the ferryboat drifts by. Counterpart of the Moon. Card of light and enlightenment, the energy that makes fields grow and life possible. Bright power, optimism, happiness. Casting away all shadows. Related to Apollo, god of music, truth and divine inspiration.

21. JUDGMENT
Related to the Last Judgment, and in older decks to Glory (a higher aspect of fame). They both share something in common: The triumph above Death, what survives the grave, what rises from the tomb. Renaissance. For this card I selected the moment Wirt, Greg and Jason are found by their friends, narrowly escaping death, the frozen lake.

22. THE WORLD
The grand finale, the sublimation of our story. The forces beyond time, death or desire. The World is regarded as the card of culmination, where the individual meets the greater narrative and becomes one. It is also a card of transcendence repeating the idea of something bigger than ourselves. For the first version we have the Queen of the Clouds watching Wirt suffering. A illustration for the mundane world and the heavenly spheres above it, which is the traditional Italian version of the card. (The Queen of the Clouds is CAN NOT the Empress because the Empress is necessarily an earthly aspect of existence, not a divine one). The second version is one of the final scenes: Greg returning the Fact Rock to Mrs. Daniels' yard, completing what once was incomplete, closing the circle.
