When I first started looking into SOC analyst roles, I kept running into the same problem — there was a lot of information, but not much of a clear path.

One resource would cover SIEM. Another would jump straight into threat hunting. Then I'd find something about detection engineering without really knowing what I should learn first.

So I started putting together a structured path around the progression from SOC Analyst L1 → L2 → L3.

The idea is pretty simple:

L1 → alert triage, investigation, and the fundamentals
L2 → deeper investigations and threat hunting
L3 → detection engineering and building better detections
