For what it's worth, Peng Da transmigrates in the chapter immediately after the destruction of Fate
But the biggest clue is that he transmigrates into the body of a Gu master!

Zhao Lian Yun's past life and occupation was never specified
And has not been relevant to the story
Therefore, it really isn't a stretch to say that Peng Da's programming knowledge is going to be relevant in the story
He is from Thieving Heaven's world!
And he was transmigrated by Thieving Heaven using a theft path method
For the purpose of creating computation path
A computer is basically just a formation
The computer I'm writing this theory on is a computaton path Gu house 💀
He plans on creating a computer to allow him to search the chaos for different worlds
And by locating that world he can take resources, people, or even laws from it 💀

This computer would be at least rank 9…
But it is possible to create rank 10 Gu woms

And yet his wife was still there, then he just take her and be done
But the fact that he got Peng Da instead…
Means his wife has already past 😞
Of course this is assuming, that Peng Da is from Thieving Heaven's original world and was transmigrated by Thievng Heaven
At the very least, we can agree that Peng Da wasn't transmigrated using the usual method 😅
Still, it makes sense…
Thieving Heaven has been dead for hundreds of thousands of years
And his wife is merely a mortal…

Then he locate his wife's soul, steal it, and finally be together with her again!
That's his main goal!
But using a rank 10 formation would require a lot of energy

I've mentioned this before, but there is a lot of evidence that points to Treasure Yellow Heaven being a Thieving Heaven arrangement
For one, Countless Daoist Treasures and Thieving Heaven both lived in the Medieval Antiquity Era
