It looks instant, but behind the scenes your browser goes through a whole chain of steps:
DNS finds the IP address → your device connects to the server → the browser sends an HTTP request → the server responds → your browser builds the page you see.
This is the simplified version. Real websites can also involve caching, CDNs, proxies, redirects, firewalls, load balancers, HTTP/2, HTTP/3, and more.
You don’t need to memorize everything at once. Start by understanding the flow.
