I have my Apple HomePods on an IoT vLAN/WiFi (Untrusted Zone) and anytime they power cycle, they are unable to reconnect to the IoT WiFi unless I switch my iPhone from my Home vLAN/WiFi (Trusted Zone) to the IoT. Then they are able to reconnect and work as expected without any issues until the next power cycle.
I have a couple of zone-based firewall rules set up to allow my Home vLAN traffic to IoT with auto allow return traffic enabled, block Cameras and Management (all UniFi devices except UCG-Fiber) vLANs to External Zone, and block Untrusted Zone (Management, Cameras, IoT, Gaming vLANS) to port 22, 80, 443 so they cannot access gateway portal page from those networks.
mDNS is enabled for Home and IoT vLANs and IGMP Snooping is disabled.
IoT vLAN setup:
Allow Internet Access
IPv6 – fd00:3::1/64
Isolated Network – Disabled
IoT WiFi setup:
2.4 & 5 GHz Only
WPA2
PMF – Disabled
Where am I going wrong? Let me know if I’m missing any pertinent info needed to better determine the cause.
