[For Hire] DevOps / Platform Engineer | AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, Airflow | Remote, India-based (any timezone) | ₹18L+ (≈ $21K USD)

Hi all,

I'm a DevOps/Platform engineer based in India, looking for a fully remote role where the company can employ or contract someone here. Comfortable in any timezone.

I like problems that cross layers. I follow the trail until the system makes sense, then write it down so the next person doesn't have to dig. I'm good with people, I've presented to leadership, changed their minds, and run live demos, and I'd rather say "I don't know yet" than guess.

What I've worked on:

– Owned our Airflow platform through both migrations: self-hosted, then MWAA, then Kubernetes. The Kubernetes one was mine end to end: EKS, CloudNativePG, Karpenter, VPC CNI. Cutover took under an hour, spend dropped 40-50% while workload roughly doubled.

– Ran AWS environments with Terraform/OpenTofu and Spacelift: built them, ran them, tore them down, rebuilt them. EKS, VPC/IAM, RDS/Aurora, S3, DNS.

– Built observability from scratch: SigNoz and OpenTelemetry first, then Grafana/VictoriaMetrics/Alertmanager when the managed option got expensive. Single cluster to multi-cluster.

– Worked production incidents across layers, then wrote up the RCAs, runbooks and handoff docs.

– Outside work I run a homelab: 4 Proxmox nodes, a 3-node RKE2 cluster, a NAS, a backup server and a VPS edge, all managed through GitOps with 44 Argo CD apps and 2 ApplicationSets across networking, storage, observability, databases, secrets, ingress and GPU inference.

– It runs Longhorn distributed storage, a GPU-backed Whisper service and a custom Postgres image, and it's where I've written 21 incident RCAs. One was a GitHub TLS failure that turned out to be Cilium inheriting Tailscale's MTU. Others cover packet-mark collisions, CIFS/FUSE mounts, Longhorn recovery, DNS and node failures. Breaking things on purpose is the point.

I do my best work on a team where I can learn from the people around me, and I help outside my lane when something needs fixing.

Compensation: ₹18L+ per year (≈ $21K USD, or ~$1,700+/month for contract). Open to discussing.

DM me if this looks interesting and I'll share my resume and GitHub. Thanks for reading.
