Points to be careful of using Contol D DNS settings

It has been believed that the Public DNS service of Control D is secure.

It has provided you with Safe Internet.

I have used it and been satisfied with it.

However, there are a few points you should know if you consider using the secure DNS services of Control D.

1. Troubles I faced.

When I set up the DNS below on my PC, my youtube could not show any "Live streaming" channels.

Although I created "Playlist", it could not display any live streaming channels, saying "unavailable videos are hidden".

1. Root cause

Then my DNS setting was:

Primary DNS/76.76.2.4

Secondary DNS/76.76.10.4

These DNSs are called Family Friendly which provide "Blocks malware, ads, trackers, adult content, and drug sites. Safer for kids’ devices or shared home Wi-Fi".

However they blocked Live streaming channels on youtube.

1. Solution

Simply, I changed the DNS settings to:

Primary DNS/76.76.2.2

Secondary DNS/76.76.10.2

These DNSs can Blocks malware, ads, and trackers that follow you around online.

And youtube restarted showing me any Live streaming channels.
