Aurora Overview and Theories Based on Her Mythological Counterpart

So this game has so much fucking depth on the gods and i spent 3 hours going over Solel but I thought for simplicity I'd focus on his daughter.

So lets get one thing straight the Romans did have their own myths prior to the Greeks. The next interesting part gets real fun if the fan theory of Cai being her kid is true. Her and her husband actually produced gods of winds and what is Cai's team name? Riberia Winds. Add in Aurora/Eos was a goddess who took a mortal lover, Tithonos. A prince of Troy however she wished for his immortalit and Zeus pulled a monkeys paw and while he could never die he would still age. This is interesting since Castor is the name of Cai's father and Castor and Pollux in myth were mortals who were given divinity and actively worshiped in real life and associated with the constellation gemini.Whats interesting tho is unlike his twin Castors father wasnt Zeus. Some tellings also state neither twin was Zeus' son but i digress. What is noted is Castor is never depicted having any bit of immortal blood. Both twins however were regarded as patrons of winds and sailors.

However the twins when it came to achieving divinity. Pollux offered half of his to his brother so both of them would spend time in the living and in the Underworld in a weird Persephone situation.

This together indicates to me Castor in Fortunes Weave is going to be punished in a way where he begs for death but will not get it or he croak regulary.

Another thing to note is Phospherous is one of Eos' sons who hold dominion over the morning star and one alt name for him is Lucifer…. So Cai might be Satan incarnate and he's still the most stable person in miles.

Theres also the bit that if Cai is her son then he pulls from two myths that follow a similiar structure. The first one is Perseus which most people know and Balor. Both grandfathers hear of prophecy that their demise is caused by their grandson and lock away their daughters but uh life finds a way. And this can either mean Cai is a chosen hero or lean into him being the antichrist.

Turning to Eos for more info if we look at her proto indo european root name one epithet stands out as Daughter of Dyeus which if we equate Solel to Zeus…. yeah Castor is double not having fun if Solel is gonna make his moments agonizing as fuck.

Now people are going to ask where does Aurora's mom being Yu Phas, a goddess of death and night stem from when her mythological mom is a goddess of sight/barely has a domain. Whelp one alt mother in myth is Nyx. The goddess/personification of night and a cthonic god aka a god associated with the earth and UNDERWORLD.

This is partially due to her syncrenization with Hermera goddess of day in Greek myth later on in history.
