I've had several people ask exactly what PureFusionIPTV currently does, what sources it supports, what features are already working, and what it does not do.

So rather than having that information scattered across release notes, here's a full overview.

IMPORTANT: PureFusionIPTV is an IPTV/media player only.

It does not provide, sell, host, bundle, recommend, or include IPTV service, channels, playlists, streams, movies, TV shows, or provider credentials.

You must supply your own legally accessible playlist/provider.

The fullscreen Actions Bar has been redesigned around TV remote/D-pad navigation.

🕐 Fullscreen Clock

It is device dependent and will not be forced on hardware that reports no PiP support.

🖥️ PC Web Admin

A web-management interface can be started directly from PureFusionIPTV.

From another device on the same LAN/Wi-Fi, you can use a normal browser for management instead of typing everything with a TV remote.

Current Web Admin functions include areas such as:

PureFusionIPTV devices on the same network can synchronize user state.

📱 Phone Companion Mode

The same Android package can provide a phone-oriented companion experience.

The current phone role should be considered a companion/account-management experience, not a replacement for the full TV-oriented player interface.

🩺 Support & Diagnostics

A major part of the app is its built-in troubleshooting system.

From the TV itself you can:

Sensitive values are specifically redacted, including things such as:

• Provider passwords
• Authorization tokens
• API keys
• Full playlist URLs

• SMB credentials

Reports are not silently uploaded just because something went wrong; the support flow is designed around user consent.

🛠️ Automatic Playback Recovery

PureFusionIPTV tries to recover from a number of common IPTV failures rather than immediately dumping the user out of playback.

Recovery covers situations such as:

• Frozen video
• Silent/stalled audio
• Full playback stalls
• Unexpected live-stream ending
• Provider connection failures
• Loading traps
• Stale/prebuffered stream failure
• Player replacement/reinitialization
• Display-output problems

Recovery can be disabled in Settings if troubleshooting a provider.

🔁 Channel Quality Variant Merging

For providers that list the same channel several times:

• SD
• HD
• FHD
• 4K

PureFusionIPTV can optionally collapse those variants into a single channel entry and select the preferred/best available quality.

This feature can be disabled if you prefer seeing every provider entry separately.

👤 Accounts & Device Management

PureFusionIPTV uses a real account system rather than treating an email address as an arbitrary username.

❌ What PureFusionIPTV Does NOT Do

This part is just as important as the feature list.

PureFusionIPTV does NOT provide IPTV service

It does not include:

• TV channels
• IPTV subscriptions
• M3U playlists
• Xtream accounts
• Stalker accounts
• Movies
• TV Shows
• Sports packages
• PPV services
• Provider usernames/passwords

I also do not recommend IPTV providers.

It cannot add features your provider doesn't supply

For example:

• No provider catch-up/archive = no catch-up to play
• No captions in the stream = no embedded captions to select
• No alternate audio tracks = no alternate tracks to display
• No EPG data = PureFusionIPTV cannot invent a provider schedule
• One provider connection = the app cannot magically create four connections for MultiView

Stalker/MAG compatibility is not guaranteed with every provider

MAG/Stalker and Stalker API support are implemented, but providers frequently customize their portals.

Some portals are currently known not to load correctly and are still being investigated.

If one fails, the built-in Support & Diagnostics system is the preferred way to report it.

OpenSubtitles does NOT search Live TV

OpenSubtitles integration is intentionally for:

• Movies
• Series/Episodes

It does not perform online subtitle searches every time you change a Live TV channel.

Media-server plugins are NOT publicly available yet

Future integrations currently include work/plans for things such as:

• Emby
• Google Drive media integration
• Additional plugin providers

The plugin architecture should not be confused with features already released to Open Beta.

Google Drive playlist sync is NOT the same as Google Drive backup

Google Drive backup/restore exists.

General Google Drive / Dropbox / OneDrive playlist cloud synchronization is not something I am advertising as complete today.

Local Network Sync does NOT copy everything

Some information intentionally remains local to each device.

Examples include:

• Raw channel catalogs
• EPG databases/cache
• EPG snapshots
• Recorded video files
• Recording scheduler state
• Search history
• Device identity
• Pairing/session information
• Device-specific secrets

The sync system focuses on portable user state rather than cloning an Android installation byte-for-byte.

Portable backups do NOT contain recorded TV files

Backup/restore can preserve recording-independent application state, but your actual recorded media stays at its local/SMB storage destination.

Web Admin is NOT remote Internet administration

It operates on your local network.

PureFusionIPTV does not intentionally expose a permanent Web Admin server to the public Internet.

Phone Companion is NOT currently the full Android TV player on a small screen

The current phone path is primarily for account, subscription, device and remote/companion functionality.

The full player remains TV-first.

It is NOT a finished 2.0 production release yet

PureFusionIPTV is currently in Open Beta.

That means:

• Bugs can still exist
• Provider-specific compatibility issues can still appear
• Device-specific Android TV behavior can vary
• Features are still being refined
• Beta builds may arrive frequently

One intermittent native playback problem reported on the onn. 4K Pro has also been under investigation. Diagnostics/recovery have been improved around it, but I do not claim a bug is fixed until it is actually proven fixed.
