no internet on ethernet after briefly using a Wi-Fi adapter (Windows 10)

Ethernet was working normally until I was testing a USB Wi-Fi adapter and didn’t connect to any networks, unplugged it after a few minutes.

When I unplugged the adapter it the network status says connected with "no internet" despite the internet working fine on other devices.

Running the troubleshooter gives: The Windows Network Troubleshooter indicates that a security or firewall setting might be blocking the connection:

I’ve tried the following:

reinstalling and updating ethernet adapter drivers Disabling firewall (from windows settings). Network reset (from settings). flushdns in CMD. Uninstalling the hidden adapter drivers in device manager. netsh winsock reset -> netsh int ip reset in CMD. Multiple PC and router restarts. Starting in safe mode with networking. IP and DNS adresses are automatic.

used the Wi-fi adapter again and it also connects with No internet Trying to access router settings through the browser doesn’t work.
