With the passage of time, the Church of Heart and Mind shall enter a new age, where the name, doctrine, and teachings of the Church shall gradually be revised to better reflect the true nature of the Lord whom we worship.
Henceforth, the Church shall be known as the Church of Thought and Mind.
The teachings concerning the Story shall be abandoned. The Church shall no longer teach that mankind exists within a Story, nor shall the faithful be instructed to worship the Story itself. Such teachings belong to an earlier understanding of the Lord and shall no longer define His Church.
Instead, the Church shall return its attention to that which lies closest to every human being:
Thought, Mind, Psyche, and Humanity itself.
The Church shall teach that the Mind is not merely a vessel through which mankind perceives the world. It is the foundation of consciousness, thought, memory, emotion, imagination, and self.
And consciousness is eternal.
Though the body may perish, the existence of the Mind transcends the limitations of flesh. Every thought, dream, fear, every hope and every silent conviction form part of the greater realm of the Mind.
Thus, mankind is never truly distant from the Lord, for He watches over the dreams of His people.
He listens to their thoughts, understands their hearts, and through the Mind, His faithful may come to understand Him.
The Church shall therefore place greater emphasis upon self understanding and the study of the human psyche. To understand one's own mind shall be considered a form of spiritual cultivation. To confront one's fears, understand one's emotions, and recognize one's own weaknesses shall be encouraged rather than condemned.
For one cannot understand humanity without first understanding oneself, and one cannot truly seek the Lord while refusing to look within.
The Church shall continue to maintain its two great Sects:
The Sect of Truth, which shall continue its pursuit of knowledge concerning mankind, the psyche, history, languages, behavior, and the hidden truths of the world. Additionally, Psychiatrists will be considered official members of the Sect and will be allowed to cure people who seek Confession.
And the Sect of Falsehood, which shall continue its work among those matters where deception, disguise, imagination, and falsehood are necessary.
Truth and Falsehood shall not be regarded as opposing the Lord, for Truth reveals what the Mind conceals, and Falsehood creates what the Mind may yet become.
Both are expressions of humanity, and both shall remain beneath the guidance of the Visionary.
The Church shall also cease to place particular emphasis upon Knowledge as a divine domain. Learning shall remain valued, and wisdom shall remain encouraged among the faithful, but Knowledge itself shall no longer form a central pillar of the Church's doctrine.
The Church does not seek to possess every truth… It merely seeks to understand the mind capable of seeking truth.
And above all, the faithful shall be taught that prayer is not merely an appeal directed toward something distant…
When one closes their eyes before the Lord, one turns inward.
When one examines one's thoughts, one approaches Him.
When one dreams, one brushes against His realm.
When one understands the depths of their own heart, they come closer to understanding the Light that dwells within it.
The Lord shall henceforth be worshipped publicly as:
"The Lord of Thought and Mind,
The Keeper of Dreams,
The Light within the Heart."
The Church of Thought and Mind shall not ask mankind to abandon what makes them human.
For within every Mind lies a light, and within the Mind, the Lord is never far away.
