Version Control vs Fish Market

I came from a background where the work is done through tools (it’s mindset beyond tools in deep level) with calm and peaceful work environment, hybrid.

For example, a simple DNS records change goes through a git PR, the records will be verified/validated by other reviewers (more than two) the CICD pipeline with runner merge the PR to master branch, deploy to DNS servers.

What I (a consultant) see on the floor in client office here is like a fish market. The people standup and call names and talking what the work they do and what others want to do.

No version control (I am not into ops for this client) I can presume it the way the people work here.

Brief context: (tl;dr)* *I came from European work settings (I am not European). If any such version control work culture exists in Riyadh, please feel free to interview me for Cloud Consultant, Engineer roles.

I was Cloud Engineer, Technical Project Manager and Cloud Security Architect before.

I don’t chase designations, the roles I did are for reference to have fair idea. I held residency in two countries from East Asia before lived in one country. But the country where I held Gold Card, I was never lived.

Moving to new city or country is not new to me.
