Open almost any network engineer job listing and the requirements read the same way: CCNA-level knowledge, plus "hands-on experience with routing, switching, and troubleshooting." That second part is where most beginners get stuck, because reading about a technology and having touched a real configuration are not the same line on a CV, and a hiring manager can usually tell which one they're looking at within the first two interview questions.

Most self-paced courses can't actually solve this. You can watch someone configure a VLAN in a video and still never have typed the command yourself under any pressure. Nobody's checking whether you did the lab, so a lot of people don't.
