How can I make it simpler to switch between using Private DNS and not using private DNS?
Ideally I'd like it to be a one-click on/off switch. Is there a neat way to set that up, or some app that can automate the steps?
Currently switching involves these steps:
- open Settings (either pull down twice from top of screen, or page up thru all apps, then click the Settings app icon .. could put that icon on home screen but hoping for a better idea)
- enter 'DNS' in the 'Search Settings' box
- that gets to Network & internet
- tap on Private DNS
- now there are three radio buttons to select off, automatic, or use the DNS provider I entered previously
It's not hard but gets tiresome to do this often, so either a shortcut to the actual choice, or better still a toggle would make this much easier!
(Why? Because using private DNS suppresses ads and stuff I don't want, but some things I do want require it to be off.)
