I’m having an issue with Fortnite where my login consistently times out. Before the timeout occurs, the game gets stuck on “Applying preferred region settings” and eventually fails to connect.
I’ve already gone through extensive troubleshooting, including:
Resetting/changing my public IP address
Restarting my router and Wi-Fi multiple times
Uninstalling and reinstalling Fortnite
Uninstalling and reinstalling the Epic Games Launcher
Clearing local cache files
Resetting my Windows network settings
Flushing my IP/DNS settings
Verifying the integrity of the game files
Testing with a different IP address
Performing multiple network resets
Despite all of this, the issue persists. I’ve also gone through the troubleshooting steps I could find online, but nothing has resolved the problem.
At this point, I’m wondering if this could be related to an account, server, routing, or network authentication issue rather than a corrupted game installation. If anyone has experienced the same “Applying preferred region settings” → login timeout issue and knows of a fix or additional troubleshooting steps, I’d really appreciate the help.
