Where domain hunters compare notes

Finding perfect browser is a trauma! Android!

Hey everyone,

I use my Android browser heavily—for almost everything I look up. Because of that, I’m searching for the perfect browser to fit my specific needs. I’ll admit, I’m pretty picky.

Right now, I’m using Opera, and it has almost everything I want—except its ad blocker is way too weak.

Here is what I’m looking for:

Reliable Sync / Backup: To safely store my passwords and bookmarks.

Bottom Toolbar: Must include a dedicated Home button.

Strong Ad Blocker: Needs to block intrusive ads effectively.

Minimalist Design: Clean and uncluttered.

Here’s what I’ve tried so far and why they didn’t work:

Brave: Sync is unreliable. I tested restoring my data after two days (as a dry run in case I lose my phone), and it wiped all my saved passwords.

Firefox (and its forks): The home page doesn't act as a real tab, which makes the Home button useless for me. I tried enabling secret settings to force it, but it resulted in a weird white screen bug and broke search every time I launched the app.

Vivaldi: It checks all my boxes, but I’ve heard many reports about sync failing—and I’ve experienced sync issues with it myself in the past.

Chrome + AdGuard DNS: The ad blocking setup just wasn't good enough.

(Note: I’m not super strict about privacy; my main priorities are smooth browsing and keeping my saved data safe.)

What options do I have left? Or, if anyone here has been using Vivaldi long-term, can you reassure me about its sync reliability now? Can I actually trust it as a daily driver and backup?
