Hi all, this is my experience as someone in a B-school in SIP process and with 0 shortlists, let alone any converts or interviews. What I have observed is that same people are getting shortlists of all companies over and over. I can understand that someone with relevant background might get similar shortlists but they are getting it for all roles and domains. And this pattern is not limited to one person but rather for many of them.
My hypothesis is that since P-com is acting as a middleman between students and companies, they have created an internal hierarchy of all CVs, and the person ranking lower in here cannot get a shortlist until the person ranking above them also gets one. Also one needs to assign some weights to academic and gender diversity, but this has held true for most part.
Just seeing people getting double digit shortlists while tanking all of them and them still getting shortlisted is what frustrates me the most. At this point I'm praying for their placements along with mine cause I know damn well that I am not getting placed until they vacate theirs
Just wanted to rant somewhere and cannot take names of p-comm in front of my batchmates, so no better place than pseudonymous platform like reddit 🙂
