Are .de domains any good?

I'm just curious about the general consensus on ⁠.de⁠ (Germany) domain names.

I know it's one of the most heavily registered ccTLDs in the world, but does that popularity actually translate to resale value?

Are buyers looking for these outside of the German-speaking market regions or is the demand strictly localized?
