After 3 weeks and 2 rejections, my app is finally live on the App Store. Still doesn't feel real.
The saga, fast:
- Two 2.1 rejections. One was "Information Needed" β turns out replying in Resolution Center does nothing, you have to resubmit a build. Lost 11 days learning that.
- 3.1.2 metadata reject (auto-renew subs need a Terms of Use link on the product page too, not just in-app).
- Then got "approved"β¦ and the store said "Removed from App Store." π³ Turned out availability was just never toggled on (Pricing & Availability). Panic for nothing β it's a toggle, not a takedown.
The app: ADHD Day Planner: Amble β I have ADHD and every planner made me feel like a failure (red badges, streaks, 12 overdue tasks), so I built one that draws your whole day as a single calm line instead of lists. No guilt.

Now the scary part: getting people to actually try it. For those ahead of me β what actually got you your first 100 downloads? π
TL;DR: ADHD dev builds a guilt-free ADHD planner, survives 2 rejections + a "removed from sale" heart attack, app's finally live β now clueless on getting the first 100 downloads.
