V1NC.X) — The EXE Who Chose to Protect Instead of Destroy

Hey everyone! I've been working on this EXE OC for a while, and I finally wanted to write down his whole concept in one place.

The basic idea behind V1NC.X) is:

What if an EXE was created to destroy, but eventually realized that life and love were more important than the purpose he was created for?

Also, the X) in his name is intentional. It looks like a little smile, which fits V1NC because, despite being an EXE, he is actually pretty cheerful most of the time.

Who is V1NC?

V1NC.X) is an EXE created by Mrs. SEGA.

Originally, V1NC was created to enter different universes, kill their inhabitants and consume the life energy he needed to survive.

At first, he knew exactly what he was.

He knew he was a monster.

He knew he was a predator.

And he had no problem with it.

His body naturally needed life energy, so he could drain it directly from living beings until they died. His feeding mechanism was somewhat similar to the idea of a succubus or incubus, except that V1NC's main goal was simply survival.

He wasn't pretending to be good.

He was just doing what he had been created to do.

That changed during his first major mission.

The First Mission

V1NC was sent into a universe where Sonic, Amy and their friends lived.

His objective was simple:

Kill them all.

However, something about that universe was different.

Sonic and Amy were a couple.

While V1NC was preparing to attack them, he suddenly sensed something he had never experienced in that way before.

The love between them.

It was genuine.

And that emotional energy was incredibly strong.

Instead of making V1NC want to kill them, it actually satisfied his hunger.

For the first time, he realized he didn't need to destroy someone in order to survive.

V1NC: "What is that?"

Amy: "Love."

V1NC: "…It feeds me."

That discovery changed everything.

These weren't just targets anymore.

They were people.

They had friends.

They had families.

They had memories.

They had people they loved.

So V1NC made his first real choice.

He refused to complete his mission.

He didn't kill Sonic or Amy.

He protected them.

And the universe he had originally been sent to destroy eventually became his first sanctuary.

His Biology and Energy

V1NC is hermaphroditic, and his body can naturally change between masculine and feminine forms.

He is comfortable with both "he" and "she" depending on the form he is using, but he dislikes neutral pronouns being used for him.

His natural body is purple, and his normal eyes have white sclera with red pupils.

V1NC still needs life energy to survive, however he developed safer ways of maintaining himself.

Human food can help sustain his body.

Genuine emotional energy is much better.

Love, affection, friendship, family bonds and healthy emotional connections can all provide energy.

Self-love is also extremely important for him.

This is one of the biggest reasons V1NC values relationships so much.

Love isn't just a nice idea to him.

It is literally something his body can survive from.

The Four States of V1NC

These are not different characters.

V1NC is always V1NC.

These are simply the names of the states he enters.

R3S0N4NC3 — H4T3

R3S0N4NC3 is V1NC's negative emotions amplified.

He becomes much more cynical, quiet and violent.

His eyes become completely black with bright scarlet-red pupils, making his EXE nature much more obvious.

He can also become arrogant during combat, especially when fighting other EXEs.

He starts acting more like a traditional EXE.

V1NC: "That's all?"

V1NC: "You call that an attack?"

V1NC: "Try again."

However, he doesn't completely lose himself.

His allies can still calm him down.

The people he truly trusts are capable of bringing him back.

D35YNC — 0B5ECI0N

D35YNC is caused by negative Chaos energy and a loss of mental synchronization.

This state is much more unstable.

V1NC's body becomes completely amorphous and distorted, almost like his physical form can no longer maintain a stable shape.

His personality becomes increasingly obsessive, paranoid and yandere-like toward the people he becomes attached to.

He also becomes somewhat psychopathic because his normal emotional balance begins to break apart.

The more negative Chaos energy he absorbs, the worse the transformation becomes.

Unlike R3S0N4NC3, D35YNC is much harder to reason with.

His problem isn't simply anger anymore.

His whole system is becoming desynchronized.

T3TH3R — Lu5t

T3TH3R is what happens when V1NC becomes dangerously hungry for life energy.

He doesn't normally say:

V1NC: "I'm hungry."

He says:

V1NC: "I need to calm my T3TH3R."

Because he knows exactly what is happening to him.

If he doesn't receive enough food or positive emotional energy, the T3TH3R state starts becoming stronger.

Eventually, his instincts can turn toward nearby living beings.

He may start wanting to obtain energy directly from them.

However, there is a major problem.

The energy obtained through T3TH3R is much less stable and less dense than genuine love or self-love.

So this state can actually become dangerous to V1NC himself.

If he remains in T3TH3R for too long, he can die from energy instability and depletion.

This makes T3TH3R a weakness rather than a simple power-up.

V1NC actively tries to keep it under control.

And yes, there is also a stupid running joke:

If V1NC completely loses control, his friends sometimes use a bucket of ice water and ice to snap him out of it.

Someone: "V1NC, CALM DOWN!"

SPLASH

V1NC: "…"

Someone: "Better?"

V1NC: "…I hate all of you."

S0L4CE.X) — Pur17y

S0L4CE.X) is V1NC's positive state.

But this transformation is different from the others.

It isn't meant for attacking.

It is meant for saving.

When V1NC connects with positive Chaos energy while genuinely trying to preserve life, his purple body begins to glow with an intense pink-and-white light.

The glow can become powerful enough to reach distant territories, including Lord X's domain, which understandably makes him uncomfortable.

However, S0L4CE.X) isn't attacking him.

That isn't the purpose of the transformation.

S0L4CE.X) acts almost like another side of V1NC's consciousness.

Its belief is simple:

Every life is worth saving.

It doesn't matter whether someone is a hero, villain, EXE or victim.

If they can be saved, S0L4CE.X) will try to save them.

It isn't about good versus evil.

It is about life versus extinction.

The Sanctuaries

After his first mission, V1NC began creating safe worlds for people whose universes were being destroyed by EXEs.

These became known as his sanctuaries.

The first sanctuary is especially important because it is the exact universe where V1NC was originally sent to kill everyone.

The Sonic, Amy and their friends who live there now help receive and care for the survivors V1NC rescues.

V1NC eventually created more sanctuaries across different dimensions.

They use modern 3D/high-definition code because V1NC updated his own code to modern Sonic game technology.

This makes them much harder for older EXEs to understand or access.

The sanctuaries are not completely invincible, however.

Stronger EXEs can potentially find them, and maintaining them requires a huge amount of V1NC's energy.

Every Variant is Unique

One of V1NC's strongest beliefs is that every variant is unique and irreplaceable.

He does not see alternate versions of the same character as interchangeable copies.

Another version of someone is still another individual.

This is especially important because V1NC has lost people before.

If he loses someone he loves, he would never simply find another version of them and say they are a replacement.

To him:

"That's not them."

V1NC is immortal in terms of aging, but that doesn't make him see life as disposable.

Actually, it makes him value life even more.

Afterglow Silver

Afterglow is a specific Silver variant from another universe.

He is not the main Silver.

In his original universe, Silver and Blaze were a couple.

That universe was attacked by an EXE.

Blaze was killed before V1NC could save her.

V1NC managed to rescue Silver.

Afterglow then went through a long period of healing before he was ready to love again.

V1NC never tried to replace Blaze or force him to move on.

He simply stayed by his side.

Eventually, they became a couple.

V1NC usually uses his female form around Afterglow, because that is the form that feels most comfortable for their relationship.

Afterglow is heterosexual, and over time he became completely comfortable with V1NC's changing body and gender presentation.

At first, it was confusing.

Eventually, it just became:

Silver: "That's V1NC."

And that's it.

Afterglow's Personality

Afterglow is more serious and less naive than the main Silver.

Because of everything he experienced, he is more observant, cautious and realistic.

He doesn't blindly trust people.

He knows that V1NC can be dangerous.

He knows V1NC can lose control.

And he still chooses to trust her because he has seen what she actually does.

Silver: "I know what she can do."

Silver: "I also know what she's done to save people."

He isn't with V1NC because he thinks she's harmless.

He's with her because he knows who she really is.

How V1NC and Afterglow work together

Afterglow also knows that he isn't strong enough to defeat every EXE by himself.

So during rescue missions, they have different roles.

V1NC usually stays behind to distract or fight the EXE.

Silver focuses on evacuating the survivors.

He uses his telekinetic powers to clear paths, protect groups of people, move obstacles and guide survivors toward the sanctuary portals.

V1NC keeps the enemy busy.

Silver gets everyone out.

Their strengths complement each other.

Silver: "Get their attention."

V1NC: "Already done."

Silver: "And don't do anything stupid."

V1NC: "I make no promises."

Silver: "I knew it."

How they met

Afterglow was actually one of V1NC's earliest major rescues.

His world was already collapsing when V1NC arrived.

He couldn't save Blaze.

But he could save Silver.

That experience became extremely important to V1NC.

Afterglow was one of the first people who made V1NC realize that saving someone could matter just as much as feeding himself.

V1NC and Sonic.RAW

V1NC has a lot of respect for Sonic.RAW.

RAW is an EXE that was treated as a subproduct and looked down upon by other EXEs.

However, RAW eventually formed friendships with the people who were supposed to be his victims.

V1NC sees a parallel between them.

Both were created or expected to destroy.

Both ended up forming genuine connections with the people they were supposed to treat as victims.

V1NC doesn't believe RAW is exactly like him.

He simply respects what RAW became.

V1NC: "They called you a subproduct."

V1NC: "You still became your own person."

Pace and The Shadow

Pace the Hedgehog is completely separate from Sonic.RAW.

Pace comes from Sonic and the Black Sun.

V1NC respects Pace and promised to help him find his partner, Rozy.

V1NC takes promises very seriously.

Pace is also connected to an entity called The Shadow.

V1NC understands that Pace and The Shadow are separate beings.

However, they are also dependent on each other.

Pace lives thanks to The Shadow, and The Shadow exists through Pace.

Because of that, V1NC cannot simply eliminate The Shadow without putting Pace in danger.

He doesn't necessarily trust The Shadow completely, but he recognizes that The Shadow's existence cannot simply be treated as disposable.

Rewrite and Malware Amy

V1NC and Rewrite probably wouldn't get along very well.

V1NC finds Rewrite's ego, arrogance and personality extremely annoying.

However, V1NC respects Malware Amy's relationship with Rewrite.

Malware Amy is an independent character with her own creator and identity.

According to her creator's version of the character, she genuinely loves Rewrite.

V1NC therefore refuses to interfere just because he personally dislikes Rewrite.

His attitude would basically be:

V1NC: "I don't like Rewrite."

V1NC: "I don't trust Rewrite."

V1NC: "But Amy loves him."

V1NC: "I'm not going to destroy something genuine just because I dislike one person in the relationship."

Lord X

V1NC doesn't attack every EXE he encounters.

He has a kind of convenience-based truce with certain powerful EXEs.

Lord X is one of them.

V1NC can actually hurt Lord X even in his base form, but Lord X can also hurt him.

Because of that, neither of them has much reason to start a pointless war.

V1NC would rather spend his energy rescuing people than fighting Lord X just to prove something.

Their relationship is closer to a cold war than a friendship.

And Lord X especially dislikes S0L4CE.X), because that positive Chaos energy can shine all the way into his territory.

V1NC and 2011X

In my AU, V1NC is technically the sibling of 2011X because they were both created by Mrs. SEGA.

Their personalities are very different, though.

V1NC abandoned the purpose he was created for.

2011X stayed much closer to the destructive EXE side.

V1NC doesn't necessarily hate him.

In fact, V1NC likes annoying him.

Mostly because he's bored.

Sometimes V1NC even uses his shapeshifting ability to copy 2011X's appearance just to mess with him.

2011X: "Stop copying me."

V1NC: "Stop copying me."

2011X: "I am not copying you."

V1NC: "I am not copying you."

2011X: "V1NC."

V1NC: "V1NC."

2011X: "…"

V1NC: "You look annoyed."

V1NC can also imitate 2011X like a silent mime just to make things worse.

V1NC and Mrs. SEGA

Mrs. SEGA is V1NC's creator and, in my AU, his mother.

Their relationship is complicated because V1NC became something very different from what he was originally created to be.

Mrs. SEGA created him for a purpose.

V1NC eventually developed his own identity and decided that he wanted to protect life instead.

Even though they don't always agree, V1NC still considers her his mother.

And if this relationship ever became part of an authorized interpretation of Mrs. SEGA, V1NC and 2011X would technically be siblings within that continuity.

For now, this is part of my AU/fan interpretation.

V1NC's Favorite Food

Despite being an EXE with a complicated relationship with life energy, V1NC really loves human food.

His two favorite foods are:

Chili dogs.

And:

Strawberry cake.

He especially loves chili dogs because of his obsession with Sonic.

And yes, he can be in the middle of discussing an emergency and suddenly ask whether there is strawberry cake.

V1NC: "We need to evacuate this universe immediately."

Silver: "Agreed."

V1NC: "…Is there strawberry cake?"

Silver: "V1NC."

V1NC: "It was an important question."

Why I made V1NC this way

I didn't really want to make another "EXE but he's secretly nice" character.

I wanted V1NC to still have the problems that come with being an EXE.

He has hunger.

He has anger.

He can lose control.

He can become dangerous.

He can become obsessive.

He can make mistakes.

He can even die under the wrong circumstances.

The difference is that he chooses what to do with those things.

He wasn't created to protect people.

He wasn't created to love people.

He wasn't created to save anyone.

He was created to destroy.

And yet he eventually decided that life mattered.

That's basically the whole idea behind V1NC.X).

He doesn't protect life because he stopped being an EXE.

He protects life because he is an EXE who chose to become something different.

V1NC.X) is my own OC, with his own story, personality, lore and universe.

Everything involving V1NC's relationships and interactions with characters from other EXE projects is part of my AU/fan interpretation and is not meant to replace, rewrite or establish the official canon of those characters.

Characters created by other people still belong to their respective creators.

V1NC is my character, his story is my AU, and the crossovers are just something I made for fun.
