I posted my resume here a couple days ago and got a lot of useful feedback, so I rebuilt it.
For context, I’m currently working Tier 1 help desk in an enterprise banking environment on a 6-month contract. I’m not trying to jump straight into cybersecurity right now — I’m mainly preparing for another Help Desk / Service Desk / IT Support role in case I don’t get brought on internally when the contract ends.
Changes I made based on the feedback:
- Made it clear my current role is a contract
- Removed my old non-IT job
- Kept it to one page
- Cut down the skills section
- Focused more on the actual issues/tools I work with
- Added relevant labs and current training
- Removed a lot of the AI-sounding resume wording
I’m mainly looking for feedback on whether this version reads more naturally and whether the experience section actually shows what I do instead of looking like a job-description dump.
Anything you’d remove, rewrite, or move around before I start using it?
